If you have been to any Nobu ever, you know it’s going to be fantastic. Their food is always impeccable and delicious. Pair that with a delicious bottle of Sake or a brunch cocktail and it’s going to be a meal to remember. Add to that the stunning Malibu coastline with the beautiful Californian sun, and there’s a meal you will never forget!
While the options for vegetarians are limited, there is enough to fill you up, and since the food is so good, that you won’t mind getting seconds in case you aren’t full up. We had the vegetarian Tacos – you will not be able to eat just one, the Avocado Carpaccio with a delicious Soy dressing, The Mushroom Salad, and the Mushroom Hot Pot. The stand out dish for me was definitely the Eggplant with Miso. So sticky, sweet, savory! Absolutely delicious! The eggplant had a light smokey flavor that made it all the more delicious. The vegetarian dishes were a lot more exciting than the sushi, so we stuck to those. We ordered 2 bottles of Nigori Sake and a delicious Sake Bloody Mary that complimented our food wonderfully on a hot summer day.
The service is great, the location is great, the food is great, the drinks are great, and so is the dessert! We had the Malibu Apple Crisp for dessert with a delicious Yuzu ice cream. A perfect end to and absolutely meal. Though this may be a smidge heavy on your wallet, you won’t have a problem, cause it is such a wonderful experience. Make sure you make a reservation in advance cause this place gets booked out, and for good reason!
