Asia Asia is located in Pier 7, the 7 story building with 7 distinctive restaurants and bars. Asia Asia boasts flavors from the East, it’s menu offers a variety of dishes from various parts of Asia. While there aren’t that many vegetarian options, the few that are there are amazing!
The chefs in the Asia Asia kitchen have fused together the far and middle east to create some fantastic dishes. One such example is the Spinach, Date & Cashew Nut Dumpling. Quite unlike a regular dumpling, but if you manage to open your senses, it is quite a treat. The menu has a bunch of ‘asian tapas’ that are vegetarian, all of which are really good. The stand out one, though, was definitely the Sweet Potato with Kabayaki Sauce & Truffle Labneh. A perfect combination of sweet and salty flavors, topped with truffle! This dish can do no wrong.
They also had some sushi options, which were up to the mark, on request our server even did some special vegetarian rolls for us. Our main course was the vegetable fried rice, that was nothing special, but we had some anyway.
The dessert at Asia Asia was a perfect end to our meal. The Valrhona Chocolate Fondant, a classic, was absolutely decadent. The Chocolate Cremeux with Mango, Passion Fruit & Red Chili Coulis was just as good, and a great balance of tangy and creamy flavors.
